Toshiba AC100 gets Android 2.2

Toshiba AC100 netbook (Smartbook) has finally received the long awaited Android 2.2 (Froyo) update. The update is available from Toshiba’s service station. The Toshiba AC100 is just like any other netbook except for the fact it runs Android on its Nvidia Tegra 2 chip.

The Android 2.2 update will now allow the users to browse websites with Flash content. I had a chance to play with for sometime few months back and was not immensely impressed by this Smartbook. The main thing I found lacking in Ac100 was touchscreen support. Also, running a smartphone OS on a netbook is baseless.
