9 Remote Job Boards That Are Booming

Opportunities for working remotely are booming, and these can be some of the best jobs.

Employees are leaving the traditional office for a number of reasons, but many are finding that remote work suits them.

Remote positions, sometimes referred to as “telecommuting jobs” or “flexible jobs,” give you the best of both worlds: the energy that comes with working with a team and the freedom of working from anywhere you want.

And you might be surprised to learn that the typical remote employee is a 40-something college graduate earning nearly $60,000 a year at a company with 100+ employees.

But what sort of jobs are available and how do you find them?

In this guide, I’ll share the kinds of jobs you can expect to find, the best sites for job listings, and some tips on how to make money working from homework for you.

I’ve been working from home for the last two or three years, and I’ve tried a lot of remote jobs.

We usually think that “working from home” and “freedom” mean basically the same…

But experience has shown me they aren’t

So, even if you can find a wide range of online jobs out there, my first recommendation will always be to try and build your own lead generation business.

It’s the way I found to leave my parents’ garage, rent an awesome apartment, pay my bills, and do whatever I want while the commas roll into my bank account.

But I’ll tell you more about that later on.

First, let’s check the best sites out there to find a remote job.

The best sites to find remote work

Remote work is on the rise, and these sites have job postings to prove it.

New jobs are posted on these remote job websites every day, which makes it easy to search and find your dream position.

Each site works differently and some have specific focuses — such as freelance work vs. full-time positions — but they all feature remote jobs.

So if you’re looking for part-time work, full-time work, or a side hustle to make extra cash, there’s a remote work website for you.

Here are the best sites to find remote work:

FlexJobs has over 50 career categories, with jobs ranging from freelance to full-time, and entry-level to executive.

The best part?

They screen the jobs before posting, so you don’t have to dig through shady opportunities.

The site currently hosts more than 20K job listings including part-time and freelance opportunities.

Virtual Vocations

This job board features only telecommuting jobs from technical writers to paralegals.

Started by a stay-at-home mom frustrated with the job search for legitimate remote jobs, the company is still run by an entirely remote team.

Dribbble is a great site for designers to find their next gig.

There’s a location tab right on top where you can click “remote/anywhere” and be off to the races finding your next work-from-home gig.

Fiverr is an amazing site to find your first gigs and build up a portfolio FAST.

The site focuses on “gigs” or “micro-jobs,” such as editing an image in photoshop, designing a Facebook ad, or brainstorming SEO-rank-worthy article titles.

Formerly oDesk, Upwork features remote jobs in a suite of categories, from virtual assistants to mobile app developers.

A little something extra to sweeten the deal: Upwork claims that more than five million companies, from Pinterest to OpenTable, use the site to hire remote freelancers.

Pros and Cons of working from home

Working from home isn’t necessarily the dream life you’ve imagined.

Yes, you get to skip the commute and possibly work in your pajamas, but there are other factors to consider.

A FinanceBuzz survey on remote work drawbacks revealed the three most commonly reported downsides of working remotely are:

  • People found it harder to build relationships with co-workers (49%)
  • People felt isolated (46%)
  • People found it difficult to separate work from personal life (38%)

Almost half of all respondents (49%) found it harder to bridge the gap with co-workers and reported feelings of isolation (46%).

And yet, the vast majority (81%) said they’d like to stay remote.

Why is that?

According to a FinanceBuzz survey on remote work lifestyle, the top three perks of working remotely are:

  • The flexibility of schedule (31%)
  • Flexibility to work from anywhere (29%)
  • Time saved (no commute, etc.) (23%)

The downsides of remote jobs don’t seem as big of a deal when you have flexibility.

We all like to have freedom, so being able to choose when and where you work is huge, right??

You just have to be more vigilant with distractions.

Pet and family member interruptions are a real thing, so it’s essential to have a workspace where you can focus on your job responsibilities.

About 90% of remote workers found a designated workspace to be important, according to a FinanceBuzz survey on the best remote work tools.

What you designate as your workspace is up to you, but make sure it promotes productivity and limits distractions.

Tools like Slack, Zoom, and Asana can help you manage your tasks and time, and increase your overall efficiency.

And of course, a solid internet connection is always a must-have for remote work success.

work from home

The best remote job to work from home

As work-from-home jobs become more popular, the variety of available remote jobs continues to increase.

What was once considered primarily a world for virtual assistants now includes a wide range of professions and industries?

If you can reasonably accomplish work tasks and responsibilities from home, there’s a good chance you can find a remote job to fit your skillset.

But you can also create your own job.

And it’s simpler than you think.

Lead generation only requires you to learn a single skill.

And unlike in other professions, you won’t be paid for the time you work, but for the VALUE of that skill.

I’ve studied a lot of things, I’ve paid for courses that only managed to ruin me more …

And believe me, fresh out of the nest (20 years old) and a useless diploma under my arm, I wasn’t in my best moment to ruin myself.

I believed that life was something else, that what I had been told at college would become real as I set foot in the outside world…

Nothing could be further from the truth, right?

Has it happened to you too?

I wonder if I haven’t been the only idiot who thought that by paying $60,000 you were entitled to your dream job.

Anyway, after a really bad time, I got what I needed.

I learned how to set up online billboards and after a couple of months trying …

There it was.

My account had gone out of the red.

And not only that.

I managed to become independent, see things from another perspective, get to know a lot of wonderful people who were making 6-figures a month, and learn how to do it myself!

Lead generation not only allowed me to start a business where I help other businesses generate real money, but it also made me realize that I’m an essential element for others.

That I have a lot to give to the world.

And that what I have to give is worth a lot.

As much as what you have there inside you.

Don’t believe me?

Take action TODAY and tell me how it went.

Share your experience and let me know if my experience has helped you!
