Affiliate marketing is one of the most popular ways to make money online, but it does require a bit of knowledge.
That’s why I’ve set out to review Tanner J. Fox and Ryan Hildreth’s latest course on affiliate marketing. This course promises to teach people new to affiliate marketing how to make the best money possible (passive income).
I’ll be covering everything about this online program, including what you can expect, whether or not it’s worth your time, and exactly what you can learn from it…even if you’re an experienced affiliate marketer.
Affiliate Marketing Master Overview
Affiliate Marketing Masters is Tanner Fox and Ryan Hildreth’s comprehensive course on how to generate a profitable affiliate marketing online business.
In the course you will learn the proven formula that has been used by thousands of affiliate marketers to build a successful business promoting products on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and more.
Who Are The Founders – Tanner J. Fox & Ryan Hildreth
When he was a freshman in college, Tanner Fox was broke and frustrated with his job search. Like most college students, he began scouring the internet for a way to make money.
That’s when he started learning about Amazon FBA from YouTube gurus -funny, ‘cause now he’s one.
From there, Tanner’s passion for health and fitness led him down a path of trying to learn and understand the concept and workings of the niche. And using that knowledge he put his affiliate marketing skills into practice and launched his own health and fitness Amazon FBA course for beginners.
That business is one of the “many” successes that led him to create Affiliate Marketing Masters with Ryan shortly after.
Since then, he’s been working as a mentor on the course program and collaborating with their affiliate community.
He also has a pretty decent YouTube channel. If I were you, I’d take a look at it before launching into the Affiliate Institute course.
There, Tanner shares free information, experiences and insights about the affiliate marketing market that you’ll find very useful.
There isn’t much information on him, but I guess that’s because he’s “new” to the affiliate marketing scene.
He’s a former financial advisor and a successful social media expert who recently quit his job to create the Affiliate Institute with Tanner, and become a full-time affiliate marketer.
In fact, if it hadn’t been for a Tai López course, he’d never have gotten into the digital world. And I don’t want to take away his authority, but I haven’t been able to find anything about Ryan’s affiliate marketing business and/or experience either.
Affiliate Marketing Masters Course Outline
There are 7 modules in this course. You can take them one-by-one, or jump around if you’re no stranger to the world of affiliate marketing.
Module 1: The Affiliate Networks
This module describes how to earn money by linking your site with merchant sites. It teaches you how to set up an account on an affiliate network, find a profitable niche for your site, and earn commission on the product you are promoting.
Module 2: YouTube
In this module, Tanner and Ryan will cover how to use YouTube as a business platform.
You’ll be going over a few ways to make a channel, and a few ways to optimize that channel to make it as successful as possible.
For example, they give you some actionable tips to generate your first affiliate checks. You should pick a video that’s about 10 minutes long, and the topic should be something you are excited about. Then you write your main keyword in the title, tags, and description, to make it easier for other people to find your videos.
Once your video is ready to go, you put your affiliate link at the end of the video, and sit back and enjoy the money rolling in.
Module 3: Organic FB Traffic
The Facebook module teaches you how to use Facebook (surprise!). It teaches you how to make a Facebook account, share it on other social media, join groups, and post pictures.
Facebook groups are intended to be the face of your brand on Facebook, so learning to take advantage of them is a good idea. You can post affiliate links, provide content, and engage with your audience similar to YouTube.
Module 4: Running FB Ads
Here they cover everything you should know about using Facebook ads for maximum sales and profit.
In this module, you will be able to set up your ad campaign quickly and easily. The best part is that once you know how to create a well structured campaign, it can be reused time after time to build your business even further.
Module 5: Instagram
This 13-minute jam will teach you the basics of Instagram.
Anyone can use Instagram. So, whether you’ve been using it for months already or you’re getting started for the first time, don’t worry.
In this module, they’ll tackle some of the biggest questions that have been asked by students just like you – what apps should I be using? How do I schedule posts to maximize engagement? – and provide a few simple strategies that you can apply right away to see major results.
Module 6: Reviews & Blogs
During this module you’ll learn everything about setting up your own friendly blog.
They will teach you the basics of website setup, content writing, and creating money-making affiliate pages to promote products or businesses.
Tanner does a good job of tying in relatable examples. His style is friendly, and he gives you specific steps to take, which I think really help you in understanding his point.
He also teaches you how to approach your readers in such a way that they will look at you like an authority and be drawn in by your copy.
Module 7: Email Marketing & Business Automation
If you are looking to increase your impact within your chosen niche, then email marketing is one of the quickest ways to accomplish this task. This module will give you the foundation for building an email list.
They’ll teach you how to set up an automated email sequence so you can grow your list and optimize your conversion rate.
How Much is Affiliate Marketing Masters?
Affiliate Marketing Masters is a one-time payment of $497.
This course contains only over 5 hours of content, and for that price you’re getting access to their private Facebook community and affiliation program, along with the course.
There are much cheaper affiliate marketing programs out there. You can check this to save you time!
Pros & Cons
Pros of Affiliate Marketing Masters Course
If you are just getting started with affiliate marketing, this course is a great place to start. You’ll learn how to start a business, how to run a campaign, understand marketing theory, and more. Each video is relatively short and easy to understand, making it easier to consume the information.
Cons of Affiliate Marketing Masters Course
Cons of Affiliate Marketing Masters Course
This course is overpriced. There are better courses on Udacity or Coursera for around $50 that would get you the same thing. Also, with 8 modules and 5 hours of content, don’t you think it is a pretty hefty price tag for a self paced course?. Even if you do consume the entire course, it will only provide you with the basic knowledge in the field of affiliate marketing.
Extremely basic and uninspiring course. While it’s good for beginners, I found the content on this course to be incredibly boring and lacking in any real depth. The content was very basic and was an obvious version just copy and pasted from other sites. Some bits and pieces were helpful but most of it was just rehashing of other material.
Is Affiliate Marketing Masters a Scam?
Are you looking for a step-by-step tutorial on how to get started with affiliate marketing?
Are you interested in learning from an internet marketing entrepreneur who built a six-figure business from scratch?
If yes, then Affiliate Marketing Masters is not your best option. Tanner J. Fox may have some experience, but Ryan Hildreth hasn’t been able to build a successful affiliate marketing business as far as I can tell, despite the fact that he has been promoting affiliate offers since 2014.
Is Ryan Hildreth a scammer? He’s certainly run scams in the past and has been involved in many scams and schemes. His defenses and actions show that he has ulterior motives, and a really poor reputation.
Also, the actual contents of this course are simple, and it teaches you only things that you can find right on YouTube. It doesn’t provide any insights or unique info and is very short content-wise.
Based on these findings, I honestly think this course is a scam, and recommend you to do further research before taking any action.
Wrap Up: Do I recommend Tanner’s Affiliate Marketing Course?
No, I don’t recommend Affiliate Marketing Masters. Although it claims to offer all the answers you need to succeed in your online business and there’s some information that’s useful, the course is too general to be specific.
While it may work for beginners, I certainly wouldn’t spend money on it. It doesn’t have any special strategies or info that can’t be discovered just by wandering the internet, and it is overpriced for what you get.
