Is J. Rich Shopify Dropshipping Course Legit?
Dropshipping really blew up a couple of years ago.
I remember when it happened too. People like Hayden Bowles, Dan Vas, Sebastian Ghiorghiu, Tanner Planes, Franklin Hatchett all popped up around that time.
J Rich was one of these guys as well.
The thing about dropshipping is… It’s stressful and there’s no real joy in it.
Making money online doesn’t have to be that way (check my #1 recommendation if you don’t believe me)
Anyway, let me break down this J. Rich Shopify Dropshipping course for you.
Let’s get started!

On his YouTube channel “about” section, he has mentioned that he defeated the odds and went from being raised in a struggling environment to becoming an entrepreneur and achieving success in dropshipping and other ventures.

- Strategies, Secret Methods, Copy & Paste Templates, Apps!
- 3 custom-built Shopify dropshipping stores with 48 hours

This is a beginner-friendly course and you don’t need any prior experience of dropshipping.
You’ll be learning everything from scratch!
Coming to the pricing, his course costs a whopping $497, which I think is quite expensive for the content that’s being delivered by the course.
There’s nothing new here that you don’t already know or couldn’t find for cheaper or for free on Youtube.
The game is pretty simple – find a product on Aliexpress, market it, and get sales.
You’re not getting access to new traffic ideas or anything like that.
It’s the same stuff and the only thing different here is the 3 stores.
I personally don’t even like that, though.
You should be learning how to find winning products and niches on your own, don’t you think?
What I Like About This Course
The main things I like about this course is:
J Rich is successful
There’s a lot of fake it until you make it types out there on Youtube who rent cars and rent apartments to seem rich.
As far as I can tell, J Rich has actually made money from Shopify eCommerce and made quite a bit of money before ever selling a course.
Now he could be lying or misleading about revenue but there’s a lot to indicate he’s actually successful outside of course sales.
If you can somehow get 1 on 1 mentorship with him that would be worth the course price.

What I Don’t Like About This Course
At the end of the day, there’s more not to like here and the main things I dislike are:
Basic training
If you have basic knowledge of dropshipping and eCommerce you’ll pretty much know what’s in the course.
It’s all the same stuff that’s been taught for years now and there’s nothing new or exciting in this course.
You can find better training for cheaper.
Too pricey
Again there’s a MILLION ecommerce training out there that teaches the exact same thing.
While $497 wouldn’t be the most expensive course but it’s more than other, better courses.
No refunds
This is probably the worst part of the entire training.
Most trainings have some sort of refund policy and this one doesn’t have anything.
Do I recommend this course?
Well, no.
And it isn’t that the course is trash (it isn’t that bad).
The main reason why I don’t recommend you to spend your hard-earned cash on this course is that it’s about dropshipping.
Simple.
Now, do you really know what’s dropshipping?
What’s dropshipping?
When you run an online store that only offers drop shipped products, you don’t have to worry about inventory and you don’t have to worry about product fulfillment.
All you have to do is sell the product, take orders and make a decent profit.
Easy, right?
Unfortunately, it’s not that simple.
And with anything that sounds too good to be true, there are always gotchas.
In theory, dropshipping sounds like a great idea because it’s inherently scalable without you having to do a lot of work upfront.
But when you dig down a bit further, there are a lot of complications that you need to be aware of.
Most people try to open up a drop shipped shop expecting it to be easy, but in reality, there’s a lot more to it than you think.
If your gut is telling you that dropshipping sounds too good to be true, then your instincts are correct.
As with everything in life, there are always downsides to every business model.
Most people stumble into dropshipping with the expectation of quick riches only to realize that making money with a drop-shipped store is actually much harder than they anticipated.
Below are all of the cons of dropshipping that you must consider.
Dropshipping Con #1: You Won’t Be Getting The Lowest Price
Most people open up a dropshipped online store with the misconception that they will be receiving the same wholesale pricing as everyone else for their products.
In reality, however, dropship distributors often charge extra fees and/or tack these fees onto the quoted wholesale price.
In addition, lower margins will inhibit your ability to advertise on sites like Facebook and Google.
Not only that, but less profit per sale also makes customer service problematic.
For example, when I tried dropshipping and had an online store, my margins were between 20-30%.
As a result, whenever I got an angry customer, I simply gave them a refund AND let them keep the product.
Countless hours of work and lots of money lost because of it.
Has it happened to you?
Can you see now why dropshipping wasn’t what took me out of the hole I was in when I was first starting in the online business world?
Dropshipping Con #2: You Will Need To Charge Higher Shipping Costs
Oftentimes, you’ll require the use of several dropship distributors to fully flesh out the product selection for your store.
Using 2 or more different dropshippers means that 2 or more companies will be making separate shipments to your customers, which means that 2 or more companies will be charging you their own separate shipping costs.
If I’m a customer and I buy products from your store across 3 different distributors, you¡ll have to charge me a much higher shipping cost just so you can break even.
The only way around this is to only use one dropship distributor which may not carry the breadth of products that you need.
The result is that you’ll have to pass these extra costs onto the consumer which reduces your price competitiveness.
Dropshipping Con #3: It Can Be A Logistical Nightmare
You might think that since the dropship distributor is doing all the work that you can sit back and relax.
Unfortunately, you have to deal with your customer base.
You have to be the one that answers all of the questions.
You have to be the one to apologize when an order doesn’t arrive on time.
The main problem is that when you use several different dropship distributors, getting the entire order to the end customer can be a logistical nightmare.
All distributors will have different shipping times and will be shipping from completely different locations.
If a customer orders products across 3 different distributors, they will end up receiving 3 different packages at varying times.
If an order is particularly time-sensitive and needs to be rushed, you’ll have to make sure that all of your distributors can deliver the product on time.
In effect, you are staking the reputation of your online store and linking yourself to all of your dropship distributors in a single chain.
If even a single distributor is unreliable, then it will reflect negatively on your online store
Now, what’s the alternative? Lead generation
Let me tell you a bit more about me, cause I’ve probably been where you’re now and having tried dropshipping and failed…
I may have one or two things you can learn from.
I was working at a 9-to-5 job for a couple of years when I decided I needed to make more money.
But the thing is, I didn’t really want a side job doing exactly what I did all day, just more of it.
So, I sat around for a year going further into debt because I didn’t want to get another job.
I know, pathetic right?
Finally after a few missed bills and some brief internet searches like “how to make money online” and “how to make money only working 10 hours a week”, I found what I thought was the answer to my prayers: lead generation
After spending 3 grueling months putting my all into it, I was tired.
I hated it. I
It hated me.
It was just not what I was meant to do.
I didn’t really know how to start and was spending the last hundred dollars in training programs that ended up being completely scams.
That’s when I started searching again and found something called the Officesless Agency.
I read their site and re-read it and visited the case studies website about twenty times.
I watched all the case studies and decided not to take action.
“This is totally a scam,” I thought.
I’m a skeptical person, so I passed on it for about a month.
But one day I signed up for my one on one call.
My lead generation dreams had died and I figured it couldn’t hurt to check it out, even if it wasn’t legit.
On the fateful day of my call, I spoke to Abdul, a straight-shooting, compassionate person that was willing to listen to all my concerns.
He had an answer to every single one of my objections.
It was like he knew the struggles I had been through.
He assured me it wasn’t a scam and sold me on the idea of a coaching program, which is exactly what I needed.
He didn’t use the word “guru”, but instead explained that the process was laid out in front of me, exactly what I would need to do.
So I got in.
But the crazy thing was, the tuition was about $60,000 less than my college education, so in a weird way it seemed like a good bargain looking at it that way…
It didn’t cost more than $10.
A new skill set for that price, I was in!
My mind was racing and I knew PayPal had my back if this went south.
After signing the contract and being initiated into the private Facebook group and starting the training ASAP, I knew this was for me.
This was the ethical online money maker I was looking for.
It definitely wasn’t going to be easy or even fast, but what legit way to make money is?
Now I know I found the way to grow in the BEST online business model out there.
And I’d love to see you get here too.
If you want to learn how to provide killer leads to businesses that have no idea how to get them, then this is for you.
If you want to be able to sell a product that can basically sell itself, this is for you.
If you want to watch $$ come in from something you worked on months ago and haven’t touched since this is for you.
It doesn’t come easy and requires hard work, dedication, persistence, and most importantly patience, but the juice is worth the squeeze.
TAKE THE PLUNGE and you will never look back.
If you don’t find success at first, you probably aren’t working hard enough.
Keep at it until you find your groove, that’s where the magic happens.
