What Is Job Killing?

job-killing-review

Job Killing is a training and coaching program on how to start your own online business and make money through lead generation.

The course teaches you how to build your own website and use the website to provide leads (potential customers) for local businesses.

Dan Klein and Brad Campbell basically talk about how you can kill two birds with one stone by creating content for your website that is not only getting clicked but also leading to leads.

That way, you own your digital asset (website) and you can easily relocate it to another business if a client terminates their deal with you.

Sounds exciting, doesn’t it? Well, I’ve got a lot to say about this business model.

Keep reading to learn more about the Job Killing program as I unpack the course layer by layer.

Meet The Brains Behind the Job Killing – Dan Klein & Brand Campbell

First of all, before I talk about what the program is all about, I’m going to tell you the truth about Dan Klein.

In 2014, Dan Klein and Brad Campbell went into a partnership to create a business model that would help local businesses generate more sales.

While the idea was solely Dan’s, he brought Brad onboard mainly because of the latter’s strong copywriting skill, and his widely visited blog which was needed to promote the fledgling idea.

Dan is a born salesperson with profound track records of personal successes in many of his known online business ventures.

He’s been able to attract countless praises to himself and his business since his Job Killing was launched in 2014.

Less than five years down the lane, nothing is heard of Brad anymore. And his sudden alienation from the program cannot be any unconnected with the controversy that rocked the program.

A former student of the course wrote a compendious review article titled: “Why I Quit Job Killing, Lead Gen Rental, Rank And Rent and Lead Generation All Together!”

This article dragged Job Killing into a deep controversy. Also, there are some former students who have expressed their frustration about not getting results.

Essentially, they all complained about the fact that Dan’s method of generating free leads (SEO) takes much time and the enormity of upfront investment you will have to make building your website and ranking it to the point where it can begin to get you traffic.

Who Is Ippei Kanehara?

Ippei is one of the biggest successes in the Job Killing community. He’s had massive success both with his blog and the Job Killing program – he’s been consistently ranking top 1% on Google for YEARS, and he’s currently at $52k in passive income.

who is Ippei Kanehara?

Ippei joined Job Killing in 2014. He paid the full training package, but Dan and his team had to create a custom payment plan for him because he only had enough money to pay the initial deposit.

He began his business making money for his clients generating leads, while he was still working as an employee and hated it. He worked hard for another 8 months before he was financially free.

If you’re looking for someone to emulate, Ippei is your best option. The immense amount of passion Ippei has for this topic was a driving factor behind why he even took the course.

He’s putting his own money where his mouth is, doubling down on his investment, and investing in his future success. It’s not every day you see someone invest as much into their success as Ippei does.

When it comes to building an authority site, you have to follow the practices of the big guns in order to get there, as well. Ippei is the perfect example of this.

He’s built a very successful authority site for himself in only 4 years (which was the time between Dan’s last launch and this one).

The Job Killing Program – Course Overview

The idea behind Job Killing is to teach you how you can help local business owners.

Discover a suitable niche, build a website and share it online. Once you’re able to get it on the first page of Google (a high traffic spot), it begins to attract visitors who you market directly to with high converting products and services that will benefit them.

Students will learn, among other things, how to identify a suitable niche for their website, choose profitable products, create compelling content, and rank highly for these products on search engines.

You’ll also learn how to find money-making concepts, promote your site, and rent it out for recurring income.

How Much Does The Job Killing Program Cost?

According to some former students of the program, Dan Klein’s Job Killing cost them between $4, 860 to $8, 778, depending on the amount you paid up front.

The thing is, you can’t find the exact price anywhere on their website. And the cost doesn’t end there.

In addition to the enrollment fee, you will spend money to get your website up and running.

Job Killing encourages their students to use Weebly hosting and domain, which costs around $25 a month.

Also, you subscribe to the call tracking service known as Callrail at the monthly subscription fee of $45-$145 per month.

There is also a plan (Callsling) for a one-time fee of $496. In addition, you will need to subscribe for an Email autoresponder to track your leads. This will cost you anywhere around $20 per month.

But hey, we haven’t finished. To boost your site performance (SEO-wise), you will need a number of tools as recommended by Dan.

For example, students are encouraged to use SpyFu or Ahrefs for competitor keyword research which cost $33 – $199 and $99 respectively per month.

Although the program is founded on the basis of generating organic or free traffic, it doesn’t disregard the superiority of using PPC (pay per click) ads to fast-track web traffic.

Students have the option of using PPC platforms like Facebook or Google to boost traffic to their sites -which means you’ll probably have to add another $100 (or more) to your monthly budget.

How Can You Join The Job Killing Program?

To become a member, you will be asked to fill out an application form.

After that, you will be scheduled to have a “strategy session” with a representative of the program to determine if you are a good fit for the course.

If you are selected, you will proceed to make payment. Mind you, the strategy session isn’t anything to fret about.

It’s basically to determine how serious and ready you are to join the course.

It was nevertheless used to create some sort of impression that the course isn’t meant for everybody. But I doubt if anyone has ever got rejected with their cash.

What Are The Pros And Cons Of The Course?

Pros:

  • The course is taught by a successful lead generation pro
  • There is the prospect for passive earning
  • Students get to owe their websites
  • Students learn about SEO and other marketing skill

Cons:

  • There are hidden costs
  • SEO takes time
  • The course is not ideal for newbies as it focuses mainly on advanced SEO techniques and other intermediate or pro-level training

Dan Klein’s Job Killing: Is It Legit or Just Another Scam?

Let me be honest: I don’t think the course is a scam.

After all, there are many people who claimed to have made money using the strategies they learned from the program -including Ippei Kanehera, one of the best bloggers and SEO experts out there.

However, there are also a considerable number of people who have shared their stories of disappointment and frustration about the program. And I can understand the feelings of those that didn’t get results.

It’s obviously not a sweet experience when you get less or nothing after spending thousands of dollars to buy a course.

The cost can even pile up higher when you factor the money you will spend on SEO tools and content creation (if you’re not a good writer or you are simply too busy to write).

But you have to remember that SEO TAKES TIME, and the first page isn’t always guaranteed. So, it’s normal for some people to quit along the line if results are not forthcoming as quickly as they had hoped.

To me, what finally got to guarantee me a steady flow of passive income in lead generation were online ad billboards. I found a lead gen training program that opened my eyes and showed me the way I could build my lead generation business without having to spend hours and hours working to get results.

So, if you’re looking for a fast, easy and sustainable way to make money, I doubt if Job Killing is the best course to help you achieve that.

In addition to thousands of dollars you pay an enrollment fee and other related costs, again, SEO takes time. Ranking your website based on what you will be taught in the course isn’t enough, and does not necessarily guarantee your result.

Google will test your expertise and patience with the frequent updates they roll out.

Sum Up: Will Dan Klein’s Job Killing Program Really Help You Make Money Online?

The truth is, the Job Killing program looks legit, and it seems to have helped some people to start their online lead generation business.

If you have close to $10K to get started with the program and can play the long game of waiting for months before getting results, then you may join the program.

However, I wouldn’t recommend the program for you if you’re someone seeking a fast, easy and consistent source of income.
