If you’ve been doing any research on multi-level marketing (MLM) recently, you’ve probably heard of Mannatech. They seem to be everywhere all of a sudden.

But you don’t know if Mannatech is a legit way to make money, or a pyramid scheme. Well, I’m going to give you a full review of the company and the business opportunity inside to help you make a decision on whether or not Mannatech is right for you!

What is Mannatech MLM?

Mannatech is a global network marketing company that develops, manufactures, and distributes nutritional supplements and personal care products.

Mannatech was founded in Texas in 1993 by Samuel Caster, a chiropractor and health consultant. They sell these products through independent distributors, with the goal of providing healthy products to help improve overall health and wellness through nutrition.

To date, Mannatech has achieved consistent growth in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Germany and various other countries in Central America and Asia.

The company has also expanded its product line to include dietary supplements made specifically for children.

Who is Samuel Caster ?

Samuel Caster is the founder of the Mannatech MLM and a controversial figure.

He is best known for using aggressive marketing tactics that have resulted in investigations of the company by the Attorney General of Texas through the late 1980s to 2009.

Caster attended North Texas State University but left his studies before graduating -he actually only stayed there for four months. He then went on to found Eagle Shield, Inc., which sold an insulation product in the 1990s and claimed that it saved 40% on heating and cooling costs.

The company was investigated by the government, which concluded that Samuel Caster made false claims about its product.

In 1991, the Texas Attorney General’s office sued Caster and his new product, “Electracat” Eagle Shield, for engaging in deceptive trade practices by promoting a device called the “Electracat,” which supposedly could prevent infestations of fleas, termites, snakes, spiders and scorpion in homes through vibrations.

After a court battle in which both sides accused the other of using expert witnesses who were not qualified to testify as experts, Samuel agreed to stop promoting the Electracat device.

But things didn’t stop there.

Under his guidance during 2002–2007, Mannatech was investigated by the Attorney General for making false claims about their products’ ability to treat or prevent cancer and other illnesses.

Samuel Caster settled these investigations without admitting guilt, but in 2009 paid $1 million in addition to the penalties exacted from Mannatech.

What are Mannatech’s products?

Mannatech’s product line includes nutritional supplements, weight management programs, targeted health programs, and essential products. The company also offers personal development seminars.

The products offered by Mannatech are divided into four categories:

• Integrative Health: This category contains products that support the immune system and enhance energy.
• Targeted Health: This category includes weight management supplements and products for treating various diseases such as cancer.
• Essentials: This category contains personal care products such as body lotion and lip balm.
• Weight + Fitness: This category is dedicated to both men and women, and it contains special fitness programs, sports nutrition bars, and protein powders.

Their main product is called Ambrotose, and it’s a supplement made with glyconutrients extracted from aloe vera plants.

They claim to be able to help people control diabetes, protect against heart attacks, ward off bacterial infections, improve your immune system, detoxify your liver, prevent tooth decay, combat depression, improve your overall health, promote weight loss, and much more.

The problem with Mannatech’s claims about their products is that they are outrageous and don’t have any scientific evidence backing them up. They even claim that their products will help people get rid of cancer, AIDS, and many other conditions.

So I’d like to make this clear: Mannatech’s products are not FDA approved and they don’t have any clinical evidence. There aren’t any studies that show that these products have any of the health benefits the company claims they have.

• You can’t make a lot of money from Mannatech’s business model (multi-level marketing)
• You’ll need enough money to buy their products (and they aren’t cheap!)
• Mannatech itself has also been sued for claiming that their products can cure cancer -without scientific evidence!
• You won’t find here no such thing as passive income
• They have a lot of bad reviews 

How to make money with Mannatech?

There are three ways to earn a profit with Mannatech:

The first way is to sell products. Each product has a suggested retail price, and you will get a commission if you sell products at this price. If you have a downline, you will earn a percentage of the sales from every person in your downline.

The second way to earn a profit is by recruiting others into Mannatech. If you can recruit others into the company then they will become loyal to you and buy your products, and this will help you earn profits from their sales as well.

The third way to earn a profit with Mannatech is from commissions from the organization itself for leadership positions or special events.

Can you make money joining Mannatech MLM?

Many people who work for Mannatech MLM claim that you can make a lot of money working for the company. But the truth of the matter is you cannot make a lot of money working for them.

That’s because if you don’t recruit lots of people to work under you, there won’t be enough sales to get you to the required rank. And if you don’t make it to your rank every month, you will get removed from your rank. This will make it harder for you to earn money every month.

Even if you do recruit lots of people to work under you, this doesn’t mean that you will get rich either.

The reason is that most direct sellers buy their own products so they can get more rank points. This means they will be spending lots of their own money on the products before they even get paid.

Bottom Line: Is Mannatech Worth Joining?

Overall, I don’t recommend joining this MLM company. You might be able to sell their products and earn a low income, but we do not believe the products will work the way Mannatech claims they do.

Further, you’re unlikely to make enough money to offset the cost of purchasing their products. Before spending any time or money working with Mannatech, I highly recommend checking out all of the available information about them on the internet.

You’ll quickly see that there are many red flags that suggest this company is a scam and you should stay far away from them.

Just read what I mentioned above; Mannatech has been sued a couple of times and they do not look like a solid business. Based on their sales material and the lawsuits, I wouldn’t touch this business with a 10-foot pole if I were you!
